Circumstances do not make us happy or unhappy. It is the way we react to circumstances that determines how we feel In Ghurar al-Hikam, Imam Ali (a) is reported to have said, “Whoever makes Allah, the Glorified, the refuge of his hopes, He will suffice him in his religious and worldly affairs.” (Page 450) After every bitter disappointment or failure, we find ourselves reluctant to think about the future. Nevertheless, we must accept the fact that challenges are transient, yet hope is the atmosphere of the soul, boundless and never-ending.
