Whenever we think about loyalty, the first person that comes to mind is Hadhrat ‘Abbas (a). When Imam al-Husayn (a) did not allow him to go to the battlefield on the Day of Ashura, he did not complain. When he went to get water for the children, he did not drink the water from the river. This shows his loyalty to the Imam of the time. Being brought up by Imam ‘Ali (a), Hadhrat Abbas (a) was surrounded by love and respect for the Ahlulbayt (a). The love that Hadhrat ‘Abbas (a) and Imam al-Husayn (a) shared was a reflection of how much Janabe Ummul Baneen (sa) loved Imam al-Husayn (a). Mothers play a very important part in the upbringing of their children.
