Imam Ali al-Ridha (a) is reported to have said, “The best time for reciting the Holy Qur’an is after the completion of the Morning Prayer.” Imam al-Baqir (a) is reported to have said, “There is a spring for everything, and the spring of the Qur’an is the Month of Ramadhan.” (Al-Kafi Vol. 2 Pg. 630) Imam al-Sadiq (a) is reported to have said, “… Verily [the month of] Ramadhan has a special right and sanctity that the other months do not have. The Holy Qur’an is to be read in a measured tone. When you come to a verse that mentions Paradise, pause and ask Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, to grant you Paradise, and when you come to a verse that mentions hellfire, then pause and seek refuge with Allah from the fire of hell.” (Al-Kafi.
