Ayatullah Syed Muhammad Husayn Langarudi was born on 23rd Safar 1345 AH in the Holy City of Najaf. A few years later, he moved to Tehran. He was a student of Syed al-Khui, Allama Tabataba’i, Imam Khomeini and other great scholars. He was a well-known Faqih and teacher of Akhlaq (Islamic Ethics). He taught in the Hawzah in Tehran for many years. He was also the Imam of Jama’at in Masjid Hajj Abu al-Fath in Tehran for about 30 years. He passed away on Monday 2nd Rabi’al-Awwal 1445. His funeral took place on Thursday 5th Rabi’ al-Awwal 1445. Many students and scholars attended his funeral. His body was then taken to Najaf for burial.
