Count your Blessings

October 19, 2024 / editor
The words "Think and Thank" ought to be inscribed in our hearts. Think of all we have to be grateful for, and thank Allah (swt) for all our bounties.
We all have a tendency to crib and indulge in self-pity, where we whine about how tough life is and complain about all the things that we have not got. But if we reflect and focus on the blessings Allah (swt) has endowed us with, life will be miraculous. Remember, “To multiply your joy, you must count your blessings.”

Accept what has been predestined

October 18, 2024 / editor
Acceptance of what has happened is the first step to overcoming the consequence of any misfortune."
Focusing on your own personal achievement instead
of comparing ourselves to others, leads to greater satisfaction.

Time Management

October 18, 2024 / editor
“Life is too short to be little.” Many times we allow ourselves to be upset by small things we should despise and forget. Here we are on this earth, with only a few more decades
to live, and we lose many irreplaceable hours brooding over grievances that, in a year's time, will be forgotten by us and by everybody. Let us devote our life to worth-while actions, simple living and high thinking.
Small talk and mistakes do happen. Let them not take
up your time! Most of us worry about what never happens. Break worry before it breaks you!

Hope in the Mercy of Allah (swt)

October 15, 2024 / editor
Circumstances do not make us happy or unhappy. It is the way we react to circumstances that determines how we feel
In Ghurar al-Hikam, Imam Ali (a) is reported to have said,
“Whoever makes Allah, the Glorified, the refuge of his hopes, He will suffice him in his religious and worldly affairs.” (Page 450)
After every bitter disappointment or failure, we find ourselves reluctant to think about the future. Nevertheless, we must accept the fact that challenges are transient, yet hope is the atmosphere of the soul, boundless and never-ending.

True Peace of Mind

October 15, 2024 / editor
Sometimes peace of mind, comes from accepting the worst. When we have accepted the worst, we have nothing more to lose; We have turned off the worry battery, And that means we can now think better in a relaxed state of mind.

Don’t worry

October 9, 2024 / editor
If small things have the power
to disturb you, then who you think you are is exactly that, “small.”

There is a great difference between worry and concern.
A worried person sees the problem, but a concerned person solves the problem.

On the 10th day of Muharram 61 AH when Imam al-Husayn (a) came into the tent to bid farewell to his family members, he held the hand of his sick son, Alī ibn al-Husayn (a) and pressed it against his chest. He (a) then said, “O son! I am teaching you a Du’a which you should remember. Angel Jibra’il (a) taught it to my grandfather (saww) who passed it to my mother Fatimah (sa).
Whenever you have a special need or are
faced with any calamity or crisis, or are
inflicted with any grief or hardship, then

Crying for Imam al-Husayn (a)

September 27, 2024 / editor
There are no eyes and (there is) not a tear loved more by Allāh
than the eyes of those who cry and shed tears over Husayn (a).
Verily anyone who cries over him connects with Fātimah (sa),
supports her (in her lamentation), connects with the Messenger
of Allāh (saww), and fulfils our rights.

Kāmiluz Ziyārāt Chapter 26. Hadith 6

Can we truly describe God?

September 25, 2024 / editor
No vision can encompass Him, but He encompasses all vision ... (Q6:103)
I replied, “Of course.” Then he asked: “Do you all know what
al-Absār are?” I replied, “Of course.” Then he asked: “What are they?” I replied, “They are Absār meaning ‘eyes’.” He said, “The mind in your heart is more powerful than the eyes [with which you see]. Thus it is minds that cannot behold him, while He
beholds minds.”
To guide Abu Hashim to the hidden meaning of the verse above, Imam al-Ridha (a) first asks him what he understands from the verse. It is worth mentioning that the word Absār here refers to ‘minds’ . Since ‘minds’ which are our most powerful faculty for knowing, cannot behold Him, thus, we cannot truly describe Him.
