O Hisham, beware of the luxuries of this temporary world. It has been mentioned in Surah al-An’aam: “The life of the world is nothing but play and diversion, and the abode of the Hereafter is surely better for those who are God conscious. Why then don’t you use your intellect?” (Q6:32) If we use the life in this world as we ought to and accomplish the goals that Allah (swt) has set for us, it becomes a purposeful and meaningful life that helps us to reach eternal happiness in the Hereafter.
