The Exalted Status of Abu Talib (a)

February 3, 2025 / editor
Abu Talib, as Allah (swt) willed,
was the guardian of the Holy Prophet (saww) from when he was a small child. Abu Talib loved the Holy Prophet (s) just like his own son. He sacrificed his own life, wealth and status for him. He supported the
Prophet (s) for about 42 years and showed great bravery and sacrifice during the last ten years of his life . The only
factor which kept him so
steadfast was his strong faith and his pure belief in the sacred mission of the Prophet (s).

Advice of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (a)

February 3, 2025 / editor
O Hisham, beware of the
luxuries of this temporary world. It has been mentioned in Surah al-An’aam: “The life
of the world is nothing but play and diversion, and the abode of the Hereafter is surely
better for those who are God conscious. Why then don’t you use your intellect?” (Q6:32) If we use the life in this world as we ought to and accomplish the goals that Allah (swt) has
set for us, it becomes a
purposeful and meaningful life that helps us to reach eternal happiness in the Hereafter.

The Immaculate Etiquette of Janabe Zainab (sa)

January 18, 2025 / editor
One aspect of her life that we must take into consideration is the fact that being the daughter of Amir al-Mu’mineen (a), she showed courage, bravery, strength and sacrifice in such great magnitude that not even for one moment did she complain.

The Transience of this World and Salience of the Hereafter

January 18, 2025 / editor
Imam Ali (a) has said, “… Verily this world has turned back and announced its departure, and
the Hereafter has come forward and its approach is visible. Indeed, today is the preparation and tomorrow is the race. The place to run to is Paradise while the end [for the loser] is Hell. ...”
Proper repentance is the
precondition for a pious life of virtue. A famous tradition beautifully states, “He who
repents from sin is like one who has no sin,”

The Immaculate Etiquette of Imam al-Jawad (a)

January 15, 2025 / editor
Imam al-Jawad (a) is reported to
have said, “The best worship is
(that which is done with) sincerity.”
Bihar al Anwar 67/249
He (a) became the Imam in his
childhood. He was the youngest Imam when he was martyred.
The 5th and 9th Holy Imam (a)
shared the same name; Muhammad ibn Ali. They also had the same Kuniya; Abu Ja'far.

Salawaat of Imam Ali al-Hadi (a)

January 3, 2025 / editor
O Allah, bless Ali ibnMuhammad, the Legatee of the legatees, the Imam of the Godwary, scion of the leaders of the faith and (God’s) testament to all the creatures.
O Allah, inasmuch as You made him a source of light for the faithful, and he gave them the good news of Your plentiful reward and warned them of Your retribution and punishment for sins, reminded them of Your signs, allowed what you have permitted, and forbade what You have prohibited, expounded Your laws and obligations, urged them on to Your worship, enjoined them to obey You and forbade them from disobeying You, bless him with the best of blessings, You have granted to any of Your friends and the progeny of Your prophets! O God of all the Worlds!

Imam Ali al-Hadi (a)

January 3, 2025 / editor
Imam Ali al-Hadi (a) is reported to have said,
"Allah has made this world a testing place while the Hereafter is the result of our test. He has also made the misfortunes of this world the means
of gaining rewards in the Hereafter and made the
rewards of the Hereafter the compensation for the misfortunes of this world". (Tuhaf al-Uqool Maxim #11)

The Re-appearance of Imam al-Mahdi (ajtf)

January 1, 2025 / editor
Imam al-Baqir (a) has said that this verse refers to the family of the Prophet (s). Imam al-Mahdi (ajtf) and his companions will rule over the east and the west of the earth. At that time, the religion of Islam shall prevail over all other religions. All falsities will be removed ; no trace of injustice will be seen.

The Significance of theTasbih of Janabe Fatimah (sa)

January 1, 2025 / editor
Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a) is reported to have said, “Whoever recites tasbih of Janabe Fatimah (sa) after every namaz will
have his sins forgiven and he will be worthy of
attaining Jannah. Recite the tasbih continuously. Do not stop or pause in the middle of it.”
The Holy Prophet (saww) is reported to have said, “The servants with the highest status are those who remember Allah (swt) all the time.”
Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a) is reported to have said, “There is no praise of
Allah (swt) better than the tasbih of Janabe
Fatimah (sa) because if there was, then the Prophet (saww) would have taught that to his daughter.”
When one says “Allahu Akbar” he has proclaimed the greatness of Allah (swt) as all power and might belongs to Allah! When one says “Alhamdulillah”
he has thanked Allah (swt) for each and every blessing he has been blessed with. When one
says "Subhanallah" he has proclaimed the lofty greatness of Allah and His being free of any
partner. Whenever a servant utters
this, the angels send salutations upon him.

in public and gave her thought provoking sermon. It was a necessity.

The Impeccable Character of Janabe Ummul Baneen (sa)

December 14, 2024 / editor
The love that
Hadhrat Abbas (a) and Imam al-Husayn (a) shared was a mere reflection of how much Janabe Ummul Baneen (sa) loved Imam
al-Husayn (a). This teaches us, that if we want our
children to become
pious and good, we must first change ourselves.

Shahaadat of Janabe Fatimah (sa)

December 3, 2024 / editor
Asmā said to them, “O sons of the Prophet,
go and inform your father about the passing away of your mother.” When they came near the masjid, they increased in their crying,
“Our mother has passed away!” Imām ‘Alī (a) took Hasanayn (as) back home,. When his eyes
fell on the dead body of Janabe Fatimah (sa),
he increased in his weeping.

Du’a of Janabe Fatimah (sa)

December 3, 2024 / editor
O Allāh, make me content with what You have given me. Hide my faults and give me good health for as long as You give me life, and forgive me and have mercy on me when You give me death. O Allāh, do not let me undergo hardship in seeking that which You have not decreed for me, and make that which You have decreed for me easy to acquire. O Allāh, repay my parents, and all those who have a right over me for the good they have done to me, with the best of rewards. O Allāh, enable me to discharge that which You have created me for, and do not let me get engrossed in [seeking] the things that You have guaranteed for me. Do not
punish me while I plead for Your forgiveness, and do not deprive me while I beg from You. O Allāh, lower me in my own estimation and increase Your awe in my heart. Inspire me to worship You
and do the things that please You and eschew the actions that
displease You, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

Ahadith from Janabe Fatimah (sa)

Janabe Fatimah (sa) has said: “What good is there in fasting for the one who fasts if he does not restrain his tongue, his ears, his eyes and his limbs [from that which is forbidden]?”

Crying for Imam al-Husayn (a)

September 27, 2024 / editor
There are no eyes and (there is) not a tear loved more by Allāh than the eyes of those who cry and shed tears over Husayn. (a) Verily anyone who cries over him connects with Fātimah (a), supports her (in her lamentation), connects with the Messenger of Allāh (saww), and
 fulfils our rights.

Can we truly describe God?

September 25, 2024 / editor
No vision can encompass Him, but He encompasses all vision ... (Q6:103)
I replied, “Of course.” Then he asked: “Do you all know what
al-Absār are?” I replied, “Of course.” Then he asked: “What are they?” I replied, “They are Absār meaning ‘eyes’.” He said, “The mind in your heart is more powerful than the eyes [with which you see]. Thus it is minds that cannot behold him, while He
beholds minds.”
To guide Abu Hashim to the hidden meaning of the verse above, Imam al-Ridha (a) first asks him what he understands from the verse. It is worth mentioning that the word Absār here refers to ‘minds’ . Since ‘minds’ which are our most powerful faculty for knowing, cannot behold Him, thus, we cannot truly describe Him.
